“There are around 400 people who use the center on a regular basis, with the facility accommodating 100 at any one time before getting too congested. I think I’ve visited around 64 training facilities around the world, and though I don’t want to boast and say Växjö is the best, all things considered, I can’t say I’ve been anywhere better. This is taking equipment (thanks to Eleiko), accessibility and expertise into account.” - Agne Bergvall, Operations Manager at the High Performance Center, Växjö
Växjö HPC was set up in 2013 by Växjö Municipality, Linnaeus University and Kronoberg County Council in association with sporting stakeholders such as the Swedish Olympic Committee, the Swedish Athletic Association and the clubs based at Arenastaden.
The center is mandated to promote and develop sport in accordance with the highest standards, from basic training for juniors at local level to elite performance at the highest echelons of international competition.
A wide range of teams pay to use the gym, ensuring the highest standards of training for their athletes. Those using the center place extremely high demands on the facilities, with the aim of achieving maximum performance and precision. All equipment at the center is supplied by Eleiko.
